Running to the King

Ready to revive and prepare our hearts to chase after our Messiah. Sukkot is a time of prepaing for the return of Yahweh, one day it will be with Him when He returns. Join us this year as we refresh our hearts, leave the old and embrass the new.

Sukkot will be held at Shuvah acreas 6652 County Road 125, Terrell Texas. 75161.

Join us as we celebrate the Feast of Sukkot at Shuvah Acres from September 26 – October 3.

Must register to attend.  Camping and self contained  RV’s are welcomed, For more amenities with Rv.  Please contact  carrie@epiclifeterrell.com

In order to create a safe and enjoyable feast we ask that all attendees read and agree with the following guidelines: 

  • No Pets are allowed on the property of Shuvah Acres
  • No smoking in the camping areas.  Smoking is located by the dumpster.
  • Do not enter a person’s camp without their permission, 
  • Please always respect all campers. 
  • You are responsible for all of your belongings and camp site, please keep it free of trash or open food items. 
  • Foul language is not allowed. 
  • No alcohol is permitted at any ELC event, in order that we do not cause a brother or sister to stumble. 
  • Your children are your responsibility, please ensure that you keep them safe, under control and respectful to other campers and their belongings. 

You Must care for your own children at all times. Children under the age of 7 will not be allowed to wonder with out adult supervision. 

  • Dress will be appropriate for the season and must be tasteful and modest. 
  • At swimming locations, no two-piece bathing suits will be allowed, and girls are encouraged to wear a t-shirt over their one-piece bathing suit. 
  • We are a Sabbath keeping community, no regular work shall be done during the High Sabbath or the Low Sabbath. We ask that your camp be set up prior to the beginning of Sabbath at Sundown. Friday September the 25th by 6 pm. Shuvah Acres will open at 12 pm. 
  • In order to foster unity and community all campers should attend the evening gathering Beginning at 6:30pm. In addition, the morning gathering (10am-11am?) should not be disturbed. 
  • Our camp will end at 11am on Sunday October 4th. 
  • There will be a community meal, date to be determined.  other than that, each family is responsible for their own food and preparations. 
  • There will be a sign-up sheet for shower s use. Inside showers are for mothers with children only. The sign-up sheet will be hanging in the shared kitchen. Please sign up for a 20-minute block and be there for your time allotted. 

Each person/family will be assigned to a Tribe with a tribe leader. All issues regarding the feast are to be brought to them. They will bring it to the Elders of ELC. If there is any concern, problems or questions, they are to be brought to Your Tribe leader first. 

Each Tribe will have rotating duties within the camp including but not limited to cleaning of restrooms, and garbage collection. Check with your Tribe leader for more details.

– Community Meal  -Bring something to share and lets gathering as a community for dinner. 

 – Market day – an opportunity to sell your wares to the community. (Time to be announced) 

This is NOT a complete list of items you need to pack, but some suggested items to remember or consider: 

  • Extra set of clothing, Umbrella/Poncho/Rain Boots/warm cloths 
  • Food for all meals & snacks 
  • Camping chairs 
  • Cool/Cold weather gear 
  • Bug spray and Sunscreen 
  • Flashlights/Lanterns 
  • Extra batteries 
  • First Aid Kit 
  • Locking bins to keep animals out of gear! 
  • Cooking gear 
  • Solar lights for around camping area. 
  • Shofar and Flags for worship 
  • Bible, Notebook/pen 
  • Instruments for campfire worship 
  • Broom for tent/camper 
  • Towels & toiletries 
  • Dinnerware: plates/cups/cutlery 
  • Extra camp chair to leave at service area. 
  • Work Gloves for community project 
  • Tools, chainsaws, loppers, weed eaters, rakes, hoes and shovels 
  • Tarp and rope 
  • Tent 
  • Fire Wood!! (Many people ran out of wood) 
  • Outdoor games (horseshoes, Cornhole, Volley ball, ect.)
