Believe Yahweh for the Impossible

What awaits the believer who trusts Yahweh for the impossible? What awaits those who have entrusted themselves to Him and who stand in the gap for others?

Throughout the Scriptures, we find promise after promise of Elohim’s provision, protection, and intervention in our lives. Why? Is it because we deserve it? I hardly think so. Rather, it is because of who He is.

We are limited, but He is unlimited. We are powerless, but He is all-powerful. We are lacking, but He is all-sufficient and everything we need.

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’

Our role is to place our faith in Him and in His ability, through our Messiah, “to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20).

When you pray, don’t simply recite words. Speak the promises of Yahweh. Stand in faith, knowing that He will do exactly what He has said He will do.

The children of Israel found this difficult after leaving Egypt and slavery. Even though Yahweh declared in Exodus 6 that He would take them as His people, deliver them, redeem them, bring them into the Promised Land, and give it to them, they still struggled to trust Him with every area of their lives.

Faith can be hindered. The greatest enemy of faith is unbelief.

Unbelief grows when we disconnect from our relationship with Yahweh—from who He is, what He has done, and what He has spoken. It also grows when we fail to guard our hearts from worldly ideologies and “faith zappers,” including voices filled with negativity or those who are not walking the same biblical path.

We must also be aware that there are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They may look and even act like followers of Messiah for a time, but their fruit eventually reveals otherwise. Their words, actions, and beliefs do not align with the truth of Scripture.

The saying, “Birds of a feather flock together,” certainly applies here. Be careful and stay on guard. Not everyone who claims to follow the Bible or Messiah truly does.

This happened repeatedly throughout Israel’s history. One of the clearest examples is when Israel arrived at the Promised Land. Twelve spies were sent to explore the land, but only two—Joshua and Caleb—returned believing what Yahweh had already promised in Exodus 6. Only two stood in faith and declared, “We can take the land.”

You may find yourself standing alone, believing Yahweh will fulfill His promises. If so, keep standing. Dont let doubt, dispair and unbelief topple what Yahweh has promised.

Build your faith.

Spend time in private worship. Spend time studying His Word. Faith must be cultivated just as quickly as it can be depleted by the unbelief that surrounds us in our world, communities, and even our relationships.

As Paul reminds us:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17, NKJV)

We cannot go days without hearing from our Heavenly Father.

There will always be distractions competing for your attention. Decide today that nothing will replace these essential disciplines:

• Daily morning devotion in the Scriptures.
• Daily, intentional time in prayer.
• Weekly obedience in honoring the Sabbath.
• Regular gathering with Yahweh’s covenant community.

These spiritual guardrails help protect your faith and keep the enemies of faith at bay.
